Biography
First Lady Kenyatta Pryor (better know as “Lady K”) is a native of Grand Blanc, MI and the youngest child of six to Mr. and Mrs. Eugene and Bernie Nelson. Kenyatta received Christ during her teenage years and received her spiritual foundation and nourishment under the leadership of Pastor Timothy R. Stokes at Family Worship Center Church in Flint, MI. During this time, a passion and fervency to serve God was firmly established and continues to solidify her relationship with God and her desire to fulfill His plan and purpose.
Wife & Mother
Lady K is the wife of Pastor Christopher V. Pryor, also a native of Flint, MI. These high school sweethearts united in Holy Matrimony on August 10, 1996, and continue to intentionally invest in maintaining a vibrant and healthy marriage. God has shown his faithfulness by blessing them with two wonderful sons; Carrington Drew and Chandler Blake. Lady K treasures her time with family and also enjoys playing basketball, tennis, bicycling and vacationing during her leisure.
Ministry Involvement
Lady K has worked and continues to work hand-in-hand with her husband in various facets of ministry. For over 10 years, she worked with her husband overseeing the Triumphant Teens Youth Ministry by helping to guide and develop young people in understanding the fundamentals of salvation while pursuing their God-given purpose. She was appointed to the Board of Directors as Secretary in 2005 and in 2012 she was appointed Children of Destiny Director.
Education & Occupation
Lady K is prepared academically by earning an undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Central Michigan University (CMU) and Masters of Science in Technological Processes from Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU). Lady K is a senior Professional Healthcare representative with a leading pharmaceutical company. In addition, she possesses special certification as a Medical Representative. Lady K has also been recognized for numerous sales achievement awards and leadership appointments.
Creed
Lady K continues to share words of encouragement to groups in the church and community about the value of living life on purpose and not by accident. It is her endeavor to be a living epistle of the VBM motto to Passionately Serve God, Joyfully Serve Others and Intentionally Love people in word and deed. She continually lives to “Love God, Love Family, Love People” because love is biblically declared the greatest virtue.
